I wrote a song on the back of a fucking AM/PM receipt, and now 60,000 people are singing it. I honestly felt like the luckiest guy in the world.”

Dave Grohl, the 3rd wheel and most un-appreciated part of Nirvana, talks about his recent success and his beginngs of the Foo Fighters, and upcoming things for fans of the Foo to look forward too, like a track with John Paul Jones, bass player and the arranger for most of Led Zepplin’s music, “We tracked him down, and I got on the phone with him. There’s a song on the acoustic record that needed Mellotron, and he’s the king. So I explained that to him — I tried not to gush and seem like a cheap whore. We talked for about forty-five minutes, and I hung up the phone and thought, “Holy shit. I can’t believe it!” I grew up worshipping Zeppelin like they were church. A couple of weeks later, he strolled in. He brought his mandolin.”. Grohl also provide’s a unique perspective into the life of Kurt Cobain, from the perspective of a drummer who never felt like he was a part of the band, regardless of his contributions. He also sheds some insight onto the habit’s and ego of the late Kurt Cobain. However, Dave Grohl remains humble amidst all of his success and his new album should be a quality one. “The Colour and the Shape” is one of the 90′s best Album’s and Dave Grohl will keep making hit’s if there is an audience. After releasing his new Album “In Your Honor” he had this to say, “There are some moments where you just feel so proud. Like being nominated for a Grammy for an album you made in your basement in Virginia with some friends over a keg. Going to the ceremony and seeing diamonds and money and limos and fucking icons of the industry, and walking away with Best Rock Album that you made for free in your basement. How much cooler does it get? I never thought that this band could be the biggest band in the world, but to see progression and growth, I feel like a proud parent. To fucking see your child grow up right, rather than becoming a crack whore, it’s pretty great.” That is a refreshing tone.

Hockey is back! At least THEY say it is. I haven’t seen a game or a highlight yet, but I have seen Gary Bettman’s ugly mug. I hope that everything goes as planned because I wasn’t sure the owners would be able to feed their families come winter. Let the game’s begin!!

WorldCom’s Ebbers Gets 25 Years in Prison – Yahoo! News
I can’t stand criminals who don’t admit their crime to themselves. How can he not feel remorse for the people who invested in his company with their confidence, and then he takes their confidence and turns it into his money. A criminal who is caught can either face the music and maybe save some honor, or they can squirm like a worm and stay in the dirt. Bernard Ebbers is a lowly worm and I hope his money comforts him from inside a 6 by 9 cell with his roomate, a crazed muderer who is in for life because he killed his accountant after all his money he had in WorldCom dissapeared and his family went under. Life isn’t fair, but some things are.

The happiness of the people, over the happiness of yourself. This is the attitude that is lacking in our country today. If our leaders would rather make themselves happy, or their families happy, then the people are neglected. The people have the power but they have to make their voices heard through participation in government, or refusal to participate in government that does not put the people first. Politicians are paid by us, and they work for us, and they should bend over backwards to help us, the people, not the highest bidder. We must take responsibilty for our lack of effort, the American public in general does not participate in government affairs but they love to criticize it. Thought, speech, or action. People love to talk and think, but what do they do about their complaints? We need to hold our politicians accountable for their responsibilities to their masters, the honest, hard working American’s who have values. Honor and service is not dead in government, it is just hiding really well but I am sure it can be coaxed out of it’s hiding place. The future of our country depends on the people who live here and work here, not the people who have money now, money comes and goes, but the people who live here and want to live here will always be here, and we need to be catered to.

Here are some lyrics that probably contain alot more truth than people realize…………..

[KRS-One]
Need I say the C.I.A. be Criminals In Action
Cocaine crack unpackin, high surveillance trackin
Prominant blacks and whites givin orders for mass slaughters
I want all my daughters to be like Maxine Waters
When they flooded the streets with crack cocaine
I was like Noah, now they lower cause the whole cold war is over
Communism fell to the dollars you were grabbin it
All the assault and batterin in the name of intelligence gatherin?
Now it’s karma you battlin, a losin fight
I chose the mic to recite ignite light in the night, aight?
We should beat em, President Clinton should delete em
it’s not hard, the C.I.A. simply has no more job
Oh my Goddess, mother, you can fix this
We rock over mixes not six six sixes
Yo this is, the message, to all that can hear it
If you got secret information now’s the time to share it
Call your Congresswoman, your senator, your mayor
It’s time for all the scholars to unite with all the players
Rearrangin, see times are definitely changin G
They used to tap the phone, now they tappin while you pagin me
It’s crazy B, yet it’s plain to see, who the enemy
Who’s left the NRA? The ATF, the AMA?
Okay okay, it’s all irrelevant, cause in the new millenium
there’ll be no Central Intelligence

FROM RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE-Bombtrack
Landlords and power whores
on my people they took turns
